Day 18 – 8/19 Cape Perpetua, Heceta Head Lighthouse, Yachats

Wonderful day of hiking and exploration beginning with Cape Perpetua.

From there we went to the Heceta Head Lighthouse.

And finally the town of Yachats.

Bam; you know when I come home tired, it’s been a good day and boy was I tired today. We went to this magical place where I felt like a billy goat traversing the rocks and the water came crashing up all around me – exhilarating. We sat for a while and just watched the ocean. Then a short ride later we took a steep uphill hike to a lighthouse I’d never seen then hiked way up and over it. Another great hike. Afterwards we rode a bit then went to a town where we had something he called clams. Jury is still out on this one. I ate a couple but… then had to decline but… that bread and soup – perfection. I am tired.
